By using GhostList, you agree to the terms below. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required by Instagram's own terms in your country, to use the service. By using it, you confirm you meet this requirement.

What the service does

GhostList reads the Instagram data export you upload and shows you who doesn't follow you back, based entirely on that file. We do not connect to Instagram's API, and we do not automate any follow or unfollow actions on your behalf.

GhostList is an independent tool and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Instagram or Meta Platforms, Inc. Instagram and Meta are trademarks of their respective owners.

Accuracy of counts

The follower and following counts we show are counted directly from the data export file you upload — a snapshot from whenever Instagram generated it, not a live query. Instagram's own app can show different numbers by the time you check, because follows and unfollows keep happening after your export was generated, and because Instagram's live counters can exclude accounts that were deactivated, suspended, or deleted after the export was made. For the most accurate results, request a new export from Instagram shortly before you plan to check it, and give Instagram enough time between export requests to reflect recent activity.

Your responsibilities

You're responsible for actions you take on Instagram (unfollowing, etc.) — we only show you information
Don't use the service to harass, stalk, or target other Instagram users
Don't attempt to automate interactions with this app in a way that abuses it

Accounts

You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data.

Dependence on Instagram

The service depends on Instagram continuing to let users export their own follower/following data. If Instagram removes, blocks, or restructures data exports in a way that breaks the service, we'll make a reasonable effort to adapt — but if we can't, the service may become unavailable. No refunds are issued for that outcome, including for any remaining subscription time.

Subscriptions

Paid plans are billed through Stripe in the currency shown at checkout, which may include applicable taxes. The 7-day pass is a one-time charge with no renewal. Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until canceled. Nothing on the free tier obligates you to pay for anything.

You can cancel a subscription anytime from Settings, with no additional steps required — cancellation stops future renewal, and you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. We don't offer refunds for partial periods except where required by law.

For customers in California and other places with automatic-renewal laws: by subscribing, you acknowledge that your plan renews automatically at the price shown until you cancel, and that cancellation is available anytime from Settings as described above.

EU right of withdrawal

If you're a consumer in the EU, you normally have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. Because a paid plan gives you access immediately, you expressly agree — by subscribing — that this right ends once the service has started, as permitted under Art. 16(m) of the EU Consumer Rights Directive.

No warranty

The service is provided "as is." We do our best to keep counts accurate, but we're not liable for decisions you make based on them.

Except where liability can't legally be limited (such as gross negligence, willful misconduct, or death or personal injury), our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is capped at the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD $50.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service, your breach of these terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swiss law. If you're a consumer, mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence may still apply regardless of this clause.

Changes

We may update these terms as the product evolves. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.

Miscellaneous

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect.
You may not transfer these terms to anyone else without our consent. We may transfer them as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of our business.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the service.
